The N-Avenger looks like some strange hybrid of machine and insect but it promises to revolutionize the way gamers interact with their Xbox 360s. Well, by revolutionize I mean give them extremely sensitive triggers. That’s no mean feat when you’re talking about shooter fanatics who need their triggers to be as tricky as those of a real firearm in order to make their gaming experience as realistic as possible.
However, this controller isn’t just for hardcore gamers. It’s not only more intuitive and responsive than your standard out-of-the-box model, it’s ergonomic as well.
In addition to the trigger modifications, additional buttons and yet another thumb-stick have been placed on the right of the controller giving console gamers back some of the control they sacrificed when switching from PCs. There is even a tripod so you can rest your weary controller on its own three legs!
The best part about this controller is that it’s not actually a controller. It’s a shell or case that fits over your existing hardware to adapt it and make it better suited to your competitive gameplay style.
The Avenger isn’t cheap. At $60 it costs as much as buying a brand new gamepad from Microsoft. However, the added accuracy and the shock and awe aspect of this beast may just be worth it.
