The Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is really a phone for music lovers. It’s basically a complete music solution as it’s more like a music phone but also comes with a camera, GPS, memory, operating system, emailing and more.
In a nutshell this is a cheap and cheerful phone from Nokia. It does however come with a two-megapixel camera, video camera and a music player which seems to be its main aim can play (MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC+, and WMA music files).
Internal memory is small at only 30 MB however it does come with a 1 GB card included s so lots of space for storing music. You’ll also find the standard Nokia menu system, which is quite easy to navigate, compared to some other manufacturers.
Overall reviews we have read on this phone seem quite positive. If you’re looking for a gift of a music phone for Christmas this is definitely one worth considering.

Faulty Nokia Chargers
Nokia have announced that a number of chargers that have been manufactured by a third-party could cause electric shock hazard and have put out a recall notice. The Chargers involves are model types AC-3U and AC-3E manufactured between June 15, 2009 and August 9, 2009, and model type AC-4U manufactured between April 13, 2009 and October 25, 2009.
According to Nokia “the plastic covers of the affected chargers could come loose and separate, exposing the charger’s internal components and potentially posing an electric shock hazard if certain internal components are touched while the charger is plugged into a live socket.”
There have been no reports of injuries related to these chargers at present and according to Reuters they think it could be about 14 million handsets sold over this period of time that have the faulty chargers.

The video below shows the phone being put to some testing its first thrown into sand then washed with water and then they just happen to drive over the phone with a car. I guess this is a standard thing that can happen to many phones that are in general use today by everybody and it’s nice to see that the Nokia supplies all the tests and can still be used without any problems.

Nokia N97 Mini
Introducing a new operating system and concept as major development costs and issues for mobile manufacturers. We see with the new Nokia N900 and Nokia have a new concept and ideas that we should see expanded to other phones in the future. But, these new ideas and concepts cost money and take time to get into the marketplace. Another way of getting a new idea to the market is to change an older idea and introduce it as a new idea (if that makes any sense whatsoever) you’re still with me?So, Nokia introduces a new phone called the N97 only a few months ago now they have maybe improved this concept and are now going to introduce the N97 mini in the next few months which could be an improved version of their flagship phone which is a bit disappointing if you have gone out and paid €500 to only discover a few months later that there is a possibility that they are now going to launch an improved model.
One of the issues with the N97 is its bulky casing, which to be honest has probably put a lot of people off buying the phone because it’s so big. Depending on what region you are in it’s expected that the new phone will sell around €100 cheaper than its big brother for this they now have built in memory of 8 GB compared to 32 GB on the older model. It will come with a five megapixel Carl Zesis camera, 3.2 ” HD, Bluetooth 2.0 , wireless LAN, USB 2.0, FM RDS and I’m sure lots of other software applications that will similarly work the same as on the older 97.
So far there is no official release date for this phone in any marketplace and no pricing has been set but we expect to see more reviews over the coming months, which will hopefully show us more of the features that this has.
The New Nokia N900
It looks like we might finally see the Nokia N900 phone released soon. If you have a look at the quick video review below you will see the capabilities of this phone. I particularly like the multiple desktop features, which allows you to scroll between various desktops. You can basically have different desktops for different needs so maybe you have shortcuts for applications on one desktop computer desktop you could have access to friends and family photographs and contact details or even shortcuts to different music.A great feature if you like is that you can keep all your applications open the same time, which will allow for easy access to e-mail, Internet, music and contacts without having to open and close various applications which takes time of course.
Internet access seems to be a big feature of the N900 cell phone the Internet browser is based on Mozilla and from looking at the video seems easy to use and renders webpages quickly. Everything is touch screen so it’s quite easy to use, I particularly like the mouse icon once you click on the screen it will follow you around where he used touchscreen which is obviously nice and easy on the eye in to happen to move your finger away from the screen for a moment. Browsing history makes it easier to navigate all the previous websites you have visited by simply scrolling left to right you can access these quickly. Read more
