NBA TOP BASKETBALL SUPERSTAR

The Celtics may have three superstars capable of scoring more than 20 points on any given night, but that doesn't change the fact that there still is only one basketball to shoot. Making sure Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen make nice and share is the job of this second-year point guard from Kentucky, who showed quick hands on defense last season. However, his rather unimpressive 41.8 shooting mark likely won't draw a second look from many defenders.

Basketball superstars deliver the ball to the ring and execute an extraordinary dunk. Sometimes you end up wishing you can also learn how to dunk a basketball like they do. Potentially, you can also learn to slam dunk like the superstars but before you can even think of learning how to dunk, you must first learn how to jump higher.
Indeed, there is no sense in aiming to learn how to dunk when you cannot even make an impressive vertical jump. Dunking means being able to jump as high as you can so you can reach the basketball hoop so before you even start planning to learn to dunk, start working on your jumping ability first. We all have the potential to add up to thirty inches into our vertical jump and eventually learn how to slam dunk. So how does one learn how to jump higher and ultimately, how to learn to dunk?
If learning to dunk means learning to jump higher then you must try learning some drills and exercises that can improve the height of your jump. But before you perform any of these drills and exercises, you must remember to always do some warm up activities. You can easily experience strains and other injuries if you fail to do some warm up work.
After warming up, you can then proceed to some basic drills and exercises like squats. This is even more effective if you will try to carry weights while performing squats properly. You can also try jumping rope again as this exercise can give you a total body workout. Remember, it is not only your leg muscles that you will need to develop but practically all your muscle groups if you want to jump higher and dunk.
There are some important things you will need to remember when learning to jump higher and learning to dunk. Foremost is to do the drills and exercises both regularly and properly. And when we say regularly, it means you should not overwork your leg muscles. When jumping, do not just jump and focus on jumping completely. And most importantly, do not expect results in just an hour of training or in just a day of training. Results do not come in just a matter of a few days. Towards the end of any training session, always remember to do cool down activities to keep you from having difficulty in catching your breath.
DATA JUNK YARD::Derrick Rose > Dwyane Wade + Michael Beasley???????

I read an article today talking about how the Miami Heat were considering trading Dwyane Wade AND the #2 pick to the Chicago Bulls for the #1 pick.
Are you serious?
This would be an even worse trade then Pau Gasol going to the Lakers. Wade was the Finals MVP two years ago, single-handedly carrying his team past the Dallas Mavericks. He’s a legitimate superstar in the League and a go to guy in every sense of the term. Dude is averaging 23.9 ppg, 4.8 rpg and 6.5 apg for his career. Fans come to watch him play and, when healthy, he wins you games. And he’s only 26! Now there have been some questions about his durability but I really don’t think it should be too much of a concern. That incident with Shane Battier pretty much took away two seasons for him but that was just a freak accident. True, he’s never played a full season but I am pretty sure he’ll give you at least 75 regular season games a year and he won’t miss any playoff games.

And you’re going to give him AND Michael Beasley up for Derrick Rose?????????????

Now Derrick Rose is a terrific player and will continue to get better but I don’t think he’ll be anywhere as good as D-Wade. Watching him play this year, it doesn’t look like Rose comes up big in big games. I watched him play in person against OJ Mayo at MSG and didn’t look like someone who was going to be the #1 pick in the draft. And he was equally unimpressive in the National Championship game against Kansas. Wade on the other hand, is a 4th quarter killer (just ask Dirk Nowitzki) and like I said before, single-handedly carried the Heat to a championship (again, just ask Dirk).

I don’t think the Heat could just get the #1 pick back because of salary cap reasons, but who else would they get…Larry Hughes? Ben Gordon? Luol Deng? All nice players but none of them are Dwyane Wade. If this trade happens it would be one of the all-time sports travesties and Pat Riley should be stricken from NBA history.
As a final thought, just hearing about this rumor makes me think that Wade is gone after the 2009-2010 season, probably to Chicago anyway. But better yet he should join his buddy LeBron in New York!
A nice little spot about Bron and Wade…
